Today, November 18, the 100th vehicle rolled off the Kostanay plant's production line. The anniversary vehicle was a JAC S3.
Production in the region began in 2010. Ten years later, the plant has confidently maintained its position as the flagship of the Kazakh automotive industry. It is the only enterprise in the country manufacturing all types of vehicles.

In 2014, for the first time in Kazakhstan, the production of cars using the completely knocked-down (CKD) method was mastered here, which means a full cycle, including welding, painting, and body assembly.

«All our achievements are the result of the government's trust and the commitment of our specialists. On behalf of our 2000 employees, I would like to express my gratitude to the government of Kazakhstan for creating favorable conditions for the plant's operations. We produce the most sought-after models of equipment, the highest quality of which is recognized by many international experts in the field of mechanical engineering. In our 10th anniversary year, we symbolically produced our 100th vehicle, which also has its own loyal customer.", the plant director noted. Syrym Semeybaev.

JAC is the Kostanay plant's main brand, and its production is only increasing. The S3 and S5 models, already widely available in Kazakhstan, have recently been joined by the new J7 sedan – a joint project between Volkswagen Group and JAC Motors. Another brand produced at the plant is also competing for customers' attention. Chevrolet production was announced at the plant only in March 2020, and in less than a year, more than 6,6 vehicles have rolled off the assembly line.
«During the pandemic, we continued our production; in fact, we quickly launched production of specialized equipment to combat COVID-19. This includes over 600 ambulances based on JAC Sunray and Chevrolet Damas, and 100 medical complexes based on Yutong buses. This is a case where in-house production can provide support in difficult times.", he emphasized. Semeybaev.
