- April became the most productive in 2023
According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB) in April 2023, sales of new cars in the Republic of Kazakhstan increased by 5%, and since April last year immediately 53,6% - before 14 379 units passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Cumulative sales for the first four months are 51 673 units that on 62,8% more than last year's results.
“April saw the highest month of new vehicle sales in recent years. Deferred demand associated with the shortage of semiconductors and the post-pandemic period, as well as the increase in production volumes within the Republic of Kazakhstan, will continue to support the positive trend. Moreover, 2023 promises to be rich in new brands and models that will appear on the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” - comments Anar MAKASHEVA, Vice President ACAB.
Chevrolet continues to lead the top ten brands in April – 4 units. (+003% by April last year), Hyundai is in second position – 3 vehicles (+608%), Kia – 100,2 units. (+2%) in third place. Chery cars are in fourth position – 092 units. (+116,1%). The top five best-selling units are closed by Toyota – 708 units. (-316,5%). Next on the list: Haval – 622 units, Changan – 34,5, Jac (425 units; +414%), Lexus (395 units; +129,7%) and Exeed (373 units).
In the top three of the TOP 10 most popular models in April 2023: the best-selling Chevrolet Cobalt is in first position – 2 units. Kia Sportage is in second place – 828 units, and the third is Hyundai Tucson (1 units).
Next on the list: Chevrolet Nexia (875 units.), Hyundai Bayon (687 units.), Hyundai Elantra (669 units.), Hyundai St. Fe (531 units.), Hyundai Sonata (461 units.), Chery Tigo 7 Pro (319 units) and the newest Lexus RX (316 units).
