The Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business became a participant in the largest international exhibition in Central Asia in the field of bus equipment, accessories and services BUSWORLD CENTRAL ASIA 2019

 The exhibition was attended by leading Kazakh and international manufacturers of bus equipment, among which were represented such members of AKAB as: SaryarkaAvtoProm, Hyundai Com Trans Kazakhstan, Virage and others.

The exhibition included an extensive three-day business program, presented this year in the format of the Busworld Academy business platform, which is designed to become the main industry event for professionals and experts, specialists and entrepreneurs in the bus industry.

The theme of the Busworld Academy was dedicated to future orientation of the bus transport system in Central Asia. The program touched upon promising areas of technological development of bus transportation and brought together a wide range of industry representatives from Kazakhstan, Russia and a number of European countries, including the Executive Director of AKAB Vladimir Gerasimenko, who made a presentation on a topic devoted to the analysis of the bus industry in Kazakhstan, its trends and development prospects.

Next, a session was held dedicated to the problems of passenger vehicles in Kazakhstan.  In her Representatives of the central government body - the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MIID RK), its structural unit - the Transport Committee (CT) of the MIID RK, representatives of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs (NCE) of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", 13 regional (regional) associations of passenger carriers took part . In addition, Berik Sailauovich Kamaliev, Vice-Minister of the MIID, held ministry meetings with the participation of representatives of local executive bodies, chairmen of associations and heads of automobile passenger enterprises on the implementation of the Comprehensive Program (road map) of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the development of bus transportation for 2018-2020.

As part of the Busworld Academy, sessions were also held on trends and issues in the implementation of electric buses and the development of modern transport systems. A discussion took place on how cooperation between public and private tourism operators, tourism operators and bus fleet operators could strengthen the position of Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a premium tourism destination.
