The Kazakhstan Automotive Business Association (KAAB) officially reports registered cases of fraud in which criminals use the name and photograph of the Association's president to disseminate false information.
Unknown individuals are sending messages via WhatsApp, claiming to be from AKAB's management, offering participation in supposedly "profitable projects." The purpose of these actions is to mislead people by exploiting their trust in the Association's authority and its representatives.
One example is an online resource called "Webtrader," which promises fast and guaranteed profits. To attract users' attention and trust, the scammers use photos and names of famous people—including the head of AKAB—without any permission.
We officially declare:
The management and staff of the Kazakhstan Automotive Business Association have no connection whatsoever with such mailings, platforms, or "projects."
AKAB does not distribute investment proposals, does not raise funds, and does not participate in commercial initiatives unrelated to the activities of the Association.
We call on all market participants, AKAB members and partners:
* Exercise caution when receiving messages from unknown senders.
* Do not follow suspicious links and do not trust offers that appear to come from representatives of the Association.
* Please verify contact details and sources of information through official ACAB channels.
* Always clarify information by contacting the Association directly using the contact information published on our website.
* If you have any suspicions, contact law enforcement immediately.
The Kazakhstan Automotive Business Association will continue to inform market participants about such incidents and take the necessary measures to protect its reputation and the interests of the industry.
Please share this information with your colleagues and partners to prevent the spread of fraudulent schemes.
Best regards,
Gerasimenko Vladimir
President
Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB)
