The prospects of the automotive industry continue to attract investment into the industry and the country's economy as a whole. At the same time, just the other day, welding and painting shops were launched at the new plant Hyundai in Almaty. The total investment volume is more than 28 billion tenge. The export of Kazakhstan-made cars remains strategically important for the development of the industry. According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), for nine months of 2020, Kazakhstan produced 53 755 vehicles of all types on 60,3%more than in January-September 2019, when it was released 33 524 units of equipment. Statistics Committee MNE RK calculated that the total cost of manufactured products in the automotive industry is estimated at 406 million tenge (including new plant), on 77,7%more results for nine months of 2019 (228 million tenge).
The main volume continues to be provided by passenger cars – 45 597 units (+ 52,8 %). Production volumes of commercial vehicles increased: trucks were produced by 148,1% more than last year - 5 273 units, bus production 1 401 units (+ 65,2 %). It was also released 1 272 trailers and semi-trailers (+ 97,5 %) and 212 units of other specialized equipment, etc.
