According to the Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB), 14,572 units of equipment were produced in Kazakhstan in June 2023, a 29,2% increase compared to the previous year. In total, 73,055 units of equipment were produced in Kazakhstan in 2023, with a total value of over 847 billion tenge. Of these, 66,551 were passenger cars (+41,6%), 4,722 were trucks (+21,6%), 1,095 were buses (+89,8%), 499 were trailers and semi-trailers, and 188 were other specialized vehicles. Production volumes exceeded the results of January-June 2022 by 40,6%.
Based on the results of six months in Kostanay «Allur» produced 44 214 units of equipment (+ 38,2%). Almaty Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produced 19,459 (+45,5%) passenger cars. Semipalatinsk SemAZ shipped 1 887 units of commercial vehicles (+ 57,3 %). In Kokshetau KAMAZ-Engineering produced 525 trucks. Saransk plant QazTehna - 444 bus. On account Hyundai Trans Auto и Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan - 395 и 273 units of commercial vehicles, respectively.
Among the top five most popular brands (including export): Hyundai (24,509 units), Chevrolet (17,386 units), Kia (13,186 units), Jac (12,420 units) and GAZ (1,908 units). In terms of models, the leaders are Chevrolet Cobalt (9,690 units), Jac J7 (9,127 units), Hyundai Tucson (6,956 units), Kia Sportage (6,102 units), Hyundai Elantra (3,907 units) and Hyundai Santa Fe (3,611 units).
