AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN: RESULTS OF THE FIRST SEVEN MONTHS OF 2023

According to Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB), in July 2023, Kazakhstan produced 13 081 units of equipment that are on 66,4% more than in July last year. In total, in 2023, Kazakhstan produced 86 135 units of equipment, total cost over 1,01 trillion tengeOf which passenger cars 78 492 units (+ 45%), 5 377 unit of freight transport (+ 20,9%), 1 450 of buses (+ 134,6%), 569 trailers and semi-trailers and 247 units of other specialized equipment. Production volumes exceeded the results of January-July 2022 by 44%.

Based on the results of seven months in Kostanay Allur produced 52 155 units of equipment (+ 40,8%). Almaty Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produced 28 674 (+ 48,4%) passenger cars. Semipalatinsk SemAZ shipped 2 027 units of commercial vehicles (+ 55,2%). In Kokshetau KAMAZ-Engineering produced 654 lorry (-9,5%). Saransk plant QazTehna - 608 buses. On account Hyundai Trans Auto and Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan - 578 и 318 units of commercial vehicles, respectively.

Among the top five most popular brands (including export): Hyundai (28 725 units), Chevrolet (21 967 units), Kia (14 947 units), Jac (13 105 (units) and GAS (2 502 (units).

In terms of models, the leaders are Chevrolet Cobalt (13 006 units), Jack J7 (9 517 units), Hyundai Tucson (7 876 units), Kia Sportage (6 873 units), Hyundai Santa Fe (4 390 units), Hyundai Elantra (4 176 (units).
