According to Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB), In June 2023, new car sales exceeded 15 thousands cars. Kazakhstani dealers sold 15 892 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 943 units of trucks and buses, which is 41,2% more than in June 2022. A total of 100,000 units have been sold since the beginning of the year. 83 235 new cars, this figure is 60,2% more than in the same period last year.
June was the most successful month of the first half of the year, with positive sales figures for virtually all market participants. The results for the first six months of 2023 are approaching the record new car sales figures for the same period in 2013–2014. According to AKAB forecasts, at least 150,000 vehicles of all types will be sold this year.
Leading in June Hyundai с 4 229 sold cars (+ 67,2 % by June of last year), Chevrolet sold out 4 042 units (-1,5%), cars Kia consolidated their position in third place – 2 502 units (+ 90,1 %). Dealers Chery sold 890 auto (+ 185,3 %). The top five best-selling brands of June are rounded out by Jac - 808 units (+ 164,1 %). There were changes in the ranking of the most popular models in June, a newcomer to the market Chevrolet Onix in the first full month of sales it immediately reached the second position – 1 396 sedans. Ahead is still Chevrolet Cobalt (1 947 units), in third place – Hyundai Tucson (1 263 (units).
The top ten brands in the first half of 2023 are headed by Chevrolet - 21 678 units (+ 71,7 %), on the second line with the result 21 622 car – Hyundai (+ 66,9 %), the third position Kia - 12 368 cars (+ 122,6 %). Chery sold 4 264 car (+ 328,5 %). In fifth place Toyota - 3 690 units (-18,1%). Haval moved to sixth position (2 719 unit; + 444,9 %), Changan in seventh place (2 366 unit), on the eighth - Jac (2 321 unit; + 88,5 %). exeed (2 021 (units) and Lexus - 1 748 units (+ 57,6 %) round out the top ten.
TOP-10 The most popular models in the first half of 2023: Chevrolet Cobalt – (14 851 units), Hyundai Tucson – (6 868 (units) and Kia Sportage - (5 398 unit). Further down the list: Chevrolet Nexia (3 697 units), Hyundai Elantra (3 547 units), Hyundai Santa Fe (3 262 units), Hyundai Sonata (2 784 units), Chery Tigo 7 Pro (2 173 units), Hyundai Bayon (2 137 (units) and Kia Sorento (2 034 (units).
