From March 28 to 30 at the Kazan Fair exhibition center with the support of the leading international
exhibition brand in the field of auto parts, components and equipment for car service Automechanika, in
The International Automotive Forum of the Republic of Tatarstan was held for the fourth time – TIAF supported by
Automechanika 2018. The forum is the main event for the automotive components industry in the Volga region, and
includes an exhibition display of the achievements of iconic automakers and automotive component suppliers,
business events and visits to production sites of the Republic of Tatarstan1
.
The Forum was organized by the Association of European Businesses (AEB), the Ministry
industry and trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian representative office of Messe Frankfurt GmbH and
JSC "Kazan Fair".

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Kamilievich Nigmatullin in his
in his welcoming speech he noted: “Today Tatarstan is one of the leading industrial centers of the Russian Federation.
The choice of Tatarstan to host the forum indicates the great potential of the republic
in the automotive industry. New production facilities are being launched in the Republic of Tatarstan, localization of components is increasing
and auto hubs, a whole automotive cluster has been formed.”
The Forum included a plenary session, working sessions with recognized industry experts,
business meetings with buyers from automakers and discussions on the most pressing development issues
Russian automobile industry. The International Forum TIAF supported by Automechanika 2018 included
participation of more than 270 delegates from different countries and regions of Russia.
The Forum was opened with a meeting on the topic “Analysis of the current state of the market and development forecasts”, and
also a session on “Innovation in the automotive industry: overview and trends” with the participation
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleev. Key
topics: “Government support for the automotive industry: how effective are the measures taken?”;
“Automotive industry in the Republic of Tatarstan: successes, challenges, new projects; development strategy
automotive industry in Russia until 2025 – focus on innovation; export strategy".
On March 29, the issue of production localization was considered by suppliers and buyers.
Heads of large Russian companies, directors and representatives of foreign automotive giants
industries discussed the impact of the current situation on the implementation of agreements on industrial assembly, problems
localization in the absence of a market, as well as new projects and plans for further localization of production.
Within the framework of the Forum, a Science Slam Industry section was organized - International Format
popularization of scientific research results in industry (automotive industry).
The second day of the Forum ended with one of the key events of the program - B2B meetings with

The format of direct negotiations allowed the participants to establish effective contacts for further
business development.
Traditionally, the TIAF Forum supported by Automechanika was accompanied by an exhibition at which
developments from leading automakers, manufacturers and suppliers of spare parts were presented,
auto components, equipment for car maintenance from Russia, Turkey and China. Among the exhibitors

In addition to automotive components, the exhibition included trucks, cars, and buses.
from the largest automakers and dealers in Russia. Among them were new items, namely: RBA-Kazan LLC
(bus PAZ 320435 -04 Vector Next available environment), JSC RIAT (Special vehicle MARS
(multifunctional vehicle for repairing networks).
For the second year in a row, as part of the exhibition exposition of the TIAF Forum supported by Automechanika 2018,
a national exposition of Chinese manufacturers of automotive components is presented. About 100
companies from China demonstrated brake chambers and discs, filters, air conditioners, radiators,
gearboxes and spare parts for them, headlights, windshield wipers, ignition coils and much more.
The Forum ended with a trip to the production sites of the Republic of Tatarstan: PJSC
KAMAZ and CJSC CUMMINS KAMA.
The event provided participants with the opportunity to demonstrate their products over three days and
services to a larger number of potential buyers, establish direct business contacts with representatives
companies engaged in the production, repair and maintenance of automobiles and wholesale and
retail trade in auto components.
V International Forum of Automotive Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Automotive Industry of the Republic
Tatarstan, with the support of the Automechanika brand, will be held in February 2019.
