But this year there is a very clear trend of a qualitative change in the sales structure.

The car segments costing 7-9 million tenge and more than 13 million tenge increased threefold against the backdrop of a general decrease in trading volumes. This trend is mainly associated with price shifts due to exchange rate changes, however, in general the market has begun to stabilize.

General trends of the Kazakh auto market:

  • Further stabilization of the market and increase in production and sales volumes (if current economic parameters remain unchanged)
  • Development of the segment of budget cars of domestic production (taking into account the start of the certification program for scrapped cars, combined with preferential lending)
  • Restoration (partial) of trading volumes in the premium segment.

What changes will there be in brand analytics in the second half of 2016:

In the near future, the range of commercial Kazakh vehicles will be supplemented by Ankai buses, the licensing agreement for which was signed in September.

Lifan Solano II was recently presented in Astana, which may also appear in AKAB’s reports for the 2nd half of the year.
