According to ACAB, official sales in May increased by 5% compared to April (3868 units including exports versus 3689 units in April), taking into account export sales. Let us remind you that Kazakhstan exports such vehicles as Hyundai, Toyota, Lexus, Chevrolet, Lada and JAC commercial vehicles.
The largest share of sales falls on SUVs - 41% of total official sales since the beginning of the year (including exports), which in quantitative terms corresponds to 6369 units. (compared to 6443 units in January-May 2016) and 69,8 billion tenge in monetary terms.
Sedans are in second place - 1521 units. sales in May versus 1560 units. in April. Since the beginning of the year, official dealers have sold 6354 units. sedans for a total amount of 35,03 billion tenge (compared to 9373 units in January-May 2016).
In May, imported cars accounted for 63,6% of total sales. At the end of the previous month, the share of imported cars was 65,7%. The share of Kazakhstan-made cars increased to 36,4% of total sales in May versus 34,3% in April.
At the end of May, Toyota remained the sales leader with a result of 814 units. Quantitative growth compared to April 2017 was 1%. Lada cars are in second place with a sales volume of 633 units. Compared to the previous month, the drop was 1%. The third place in the ranking with a volume of 256 cars is occupied by Ravon. Automotive brands also showed an increase in sales in April: Hyundai, Lexus, Gaz, UAZ, etc.
