| According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB) based on the results of the first quarter of 2019, registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs 280 892 vehicles (including cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles and trailers), on 8,1% more than in the first three months of 2018. Secondary registration requires 264 398 units – 94,13% of the total number of registrations. Almost half of all registered vehicles are over 20 years old (118 594 units). From 10 to 20 years – 71 590 units Equipment aged from 3 to 10 years accounts for 65 866 units, up to 3 years – 24 772 auto., with 62%, or 15 444 units of three-year-olds were registered for the first time. The share of initial registrations fell in the first quarter (5,87% против 6,31% last year), however in quantitative terms it is comparable with last year; 16 494 vehicles against 16 394 in 2018, respectively. From 16 494 units - 13 504 passenger cars, 1 571 trailer, 645 trucks, 396 buses, 190 minibuses and 188 motorcycles. Taking into account the secondary market, the leader among passenger vehicles in Kazakhstan in terms of the number of registrations remains Toyota - 41 671 units. In second position Lada (VAZ) - 39 353units Rounding out the top three Volkswagen - 20 934 registratio. |

In terms of models, Kazakhstanis give preference Toyota Camry all years of manufacture (16 691 units). Volkswagen Passat predominantly made in the 90s in second position (9 units), the top three is closed by one more Volkswagen - Golf (5 863 units). Also in the top five most popular Daewoo nexia (5 349 units), Audi 100 (5 098 units).
Every fifth car in the first quarter was registered to a woman. Interestingly, preferences for the color of passenger cars do not depend on gender. When buying a new vehicle, men and women choose white cars (5 538 units), gray and shades in the second position (2 762 units), black cars – 1 795 units
Based on the results of three months, it is the leader by region Alma-Ata's region, here in January-March it was registered 42 295 Vehicle. Second and third positions in the regional rankings for Almaty (35 247 units) and Turkestan region (26 989units). Registered in the capital of the country 23 021 cars, 20 units were registered in Shymkent over three months. Most new cars are sold in Almaty (3 346 units), Nur-Sultan (2 407 units) and Atyrau region — 1 349 initial registrations.
