SaryarkaAvtoProm LLC is a joint venture between Allur Avto LLC and Tobol JSC. The company has been operating since 2012 and, in accordance with signed memorandums of cooperation, is currently implementing two projects for the SKD assembly of UAZ and IVECO vehicles.

The SKD method is an abbreviation for "semi-knock-down." In other words, SKD products are delivered for semi-knocked-down assembly and consist of fully assembled major vehicle components (a fully assembled engine, a fully assembled cabin, a fully assembled chassis, etc.), with final assembly taking place at the factory. Currently, Iveco vehicles are assembled using CKD 3A technology—an Iveco corporation standard, under which the frame and chassis are delivered to the factory completely disassembled.

The company's design and technology bureau developed specialized vehicles for government agencies based on IVECO all-metal vans. In 2012, an ambulance, converted jointly with KazMedPribor, and a prisoner transport vehicle were presented to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, respectively. These agencies were pleasantly surprised by the capabilities of domestic engineering and noted the quality, price, and comfort of the vehicles produced by SaryarkaAvtoProm LLC.

In November 2012, the company successfully completed the procedure for confirming the compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of ST RK ISO 9001-2009 applicable to the production, maintenance and re-equipment of vehicles, parts, components and assemblies.

Furthermore, the company signed a memorandum on the implementation of CKD assembly of SsangYong Nomad vehicles, including body welding and painting. This will be the first fully-fledged Kazakhstani vehicle produced specifically for Kazakhstan. It is planned that this model will be supplied to eight markets in neighboring and non-CIS countries. Local content in the vehicle will exceed 30%. The uniqueness of the CKD assembly of the SsangYong Nomad lies in the fact that similar projects have never been implemented in the history of independent Kazakhstan.

To implement this project, on August 15, 2012, a financial leasing agreement was signed with BRK-Leasing Company for the amount of 61,9 million US dollars for the acquisition of the necessary technological equipment for welding, painting and assembly of SsangYong Nomad vehicles with a total value of $72,910,000 US dollars.

On February 12, 2013, a memorandum was signed in Astana with the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to launch the "Toyota Automobile Production Organization" project. SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP will become the production site for the Toyota Fortuner SUV, which has proven itself as a reliable, practical, and affordable vehicle.

It's worth noting that this SUV, like the SsangYong Nomad, will be manufactured using the knock-down (CKD) method. The planned annual production volume is approximately 3000 vehicles. This will undoubtedly set a benchmark for the entire domestic auto industry.

Moreover, this project will have a multiplier effect, creating approximately 300 new jobs both in manufacturing and related industries. The recruitment and training process has already begun, and by the start of the project, we will have Kazakhstani specialists proficient in technical English, knowledge of theory, and practical experience.

SaryarkaAvtoProm LLC's production facility is 100% modern, high-tech equipment. All workshops have been renovated to meet the latest engineering and environmental requirements, fully demonstrating the company's innovative nature.

The human resources of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLC are a key component of its dynamic growth. The company continuously trains personnel both in Kazakhstan and at international automotive plants. Currently, the company employs over 100 people. By the end of 2013, the company plans to expand its workforce to 600.
