SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP is a joint venture of Allur Auto LLP and SPK Tobol JSC. The company has been operating since 2012 and is currently, in accordance with the concluded memorandums of cooperation, implementing 2 projects for large-scale serial assembly of UAZ and IVECO cars using the SKD method.

The SKD method is short for “Semi Knock Down,” which means “half-knocked down.” In other words, SKD products are supplied for SKD and are fully assembled major components of the vehicle (completely assembled engine, assembled cab, assembled chassis, etc.), and the final assembly of the vehicle is carried out at the factory. Currently, Iveco cars are assembled using CKD 3A technology - this is the Iveco Corporation standard, according to which a completely disassembled frame and chassis are delivered to the plant.

The company's design and technology bureau developed specialized vehicles for the needs of government agencies based on all-metal IVECO vans. In 2012, an intensive care unit, converted together with the KazMedPribor company, and a vehicle for transporting prisoners were presented to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, respectively. These departments were pleasantly surprised by the capabilities of domestic mechanical engineering, and noted the quality, price and comfort of the cars produced at SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP.

In November 2012, the enterprise successfully passed the procedure for confirming compliance of the QMS with the requirements of ST RK ISO 9001-2009 in relation to the production, maintenance and re-equipment of vehicles, parts, assemblies and components.

Moreover, the company concluded a memorandum on the introduction of small-unit assembly of SsangYong Nomad cars using the CKD method, including welding and painting of bodies. This will be the first full-fledged Kazakh car produced specifically for Kazakhstan. It is planned that this model will be supplied to 8 markets of near and far abroad countries. Kazakh content of the car will be more than 30%. The uniqueness of the small-unit assembly of the SsangYong Nomad lies in the fact that such projects have not been implemented in the entire history of independent Kazakhstan.

To implement this project, on August 15, 2012, a financial leasing agreement was signed with the DBK-Leasing Company in the amount of 61,9 million US dollars for the purchase of the necessary technological equipment for welding, painting and assembly of SsangYong Nomad cars with a total value of $72 US dollars.

On February 12, 2013, in Astana, a memorandum was signed with the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the start of the project “Organization of production of Toyota cars.” SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP will become a production site for the Toyota Fortuner SUV, which has established itself as a reliable, practical and affordable car.

It should be noted that this SUV, like the SsangYong Nomad, will be produced using the CKD method. The planned annual production volume will be about 3000 cars. All this, of course, will become a guideline for the entire domestic automobile industry.

Moreover, this project will have a multiplier effect, ensuring the creation of about 300 new jobs both in production and in related industries. The process of selecting and training specialists has already begun, and by the start of the project we will receive Kazakh specialists who speak technical English, know the theory, and also already have practical experience.

The production site of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP consists of 100% modern high-tech equipment. All workshops have been reconstructed according to the latest engineering and environmental requirements, which fully proves the innovative component of the enterprise.

The personnel potential of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP is one of the leading components of a dynamically developing enterprise. The company is constantly working to train personnel both in the Republic of Kazakhstan and at foreign automobile manufacturing plants. Currently, the company employs more than 100 people. By the end of 2013, it is planned to expand the staff to 600 people.
