HYUNDAI AUTOTRANS PLANT
In January 2011, in the Talgar district of the Almaty region, near the Almaty international airport, a plant for the assembly of Hyundai brand trucks and buses took place.
The implementation of the project will ensure the development of one of the promising areas of mechanical engineering in Kazakhstan and will make a significant contribution to the reorientation of the economy from a resource-based focus on production. The project is being implemented within the framework of the “Program of Accelerated Industrial-Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan” to meet the growing need for vehicles for transporting goods and passengers. It will make it possible to replace the morally and physically obsolete fleet of trucks and buses with modern transport that meets environmental and technical safety standards.
Hyundai's truck and bus production capacity is 10 units. The territory of the enterprise is 000 hectares, the area of the enterprise, including the territory of the free warehouse, is 1,5 sq.m.
The share of Kazakhstani content in the project is 5%; within five years, due to the provision of domestic attachments, such as flatbed bodies, refrigerators, vans, isothermal booths, the level of localization is planned to increase to 20% in the fourth year of production.
The opening of the plant created more than fifty jobs, and by 2015 the company plans to create more than two hundred additional jobs in the production and maintenance of vehicles.
The model range is represented by equipment with a carrying capacity from 1,5 to 20 tons based on the Hyundai HD 45, HD 65, HD 72, HD 78, HD 120, HD 270, HD 370 chassis - these are trucks, flatbeds, vans, dump trucks, refrigerators, garbage trucks, water carriers, manipulators and other municipal and agricultural equipment. They will be the best offer in terms of price and quality ratio, due to the rapid development of housing and communal infrastructure, small and medium-sized businesses in the city and the country as a whole, creating a high demand for such equipment. Compared to vehicles from other manufacturers, Hyundai commercial vehicles are the most competitive; they have shown their economic benefits in operation compared to Russian products, since the main advantages of Hyundai vehicles are high quality, reasonable price, favorable terms and conditions of delivery, as well as security guarantees.
In 2012, the Hyundai AutoTrans plant began assembling and producing Hyundai County passenger buses from 19 to 28 seats, which will serve as a powerful aid for the development of passenger transport in Kazakhstan. The buses support the EURO 3 standard, which will significantly improve the environmental environment. And also on the basis of the County bus, the company launched the production of the County Ambulance ambulance.
The main goals of the project are to provide consumers with a world-quality product, attract new technologies in the production and maintenance of vehicles, create new qualified jobs, as well as territorial integration of the activities of the group of companies: production, sale of trucks and buses, provision of maintenance services.

Hyundai buses: all the best for children
On August 26, a wonderful event took place in Almaty - the Arline company donated ten new comfortable buses of the Korean brand Hyundai, supplied by Hyundai Truck and Bus Kazakhstan as part of KMK Astana Motors, for the needs of pupils of orphanages, boarding schools and students of remote schools. The keys to the buses were solemnly presented by Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yesimov.
