MORE THAN 18 THOUSAND UNITS SOLD IN AUGUST IN KAZAKHSTAN
Top-5: Hyundai, Chevrolet, Kia, Chery, Jac
According to “Kazakhstannyn Avtokolik Odagy” (KAO), in the last summer month in the country it was sold 17 202 units passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 1031 truck and bus, what's on Present in several = 59,5% more than in August 2022.
In total, since the beginning of the year, Kazakhstani dealers have sold 120 322 auto (+ 60,5 %).
Anar MAKASHEVA, President of KAO: "August continuesooze trend for record sales in Kazakhstan, formed in early summer. Sales of new cars in the republic amounted to 18 thousand units. These are the best indicators not only in 2023, but also in the entire history of Kazakh auto retail. Driver – growth of brand offerings and expansion of the model line, including in the budget car segment, as well as various financial programs of companies».
In August Hyundai strengthened its position in first place in the Top 10 best-selling brands (4 624 units; + 107,7% compared to August last year). Dealers Chevrolet implemented in August 3 363 car (-13,4%), Kia on the third line - 1 713 units (+ 15,4 %). Chery closed for the month 1 694 (+ 226,4 %) cars sold, largely due to the successful launch of the budget model Tigo 2. In fifth place is Kostanay Jac - 874 units (+ 199,3 %). Toyota in August in sixth position (825 units; -17,3%). Changan и Haval over the past months they have been changing positions (768 и 752 units). Fourth place goes to a budget crossover for the first time Chery Tigo 2 (840 units). Next on the list: Chevrolet Onix (673 units), Hyundai Bayon (606 units), Hyundai St. Fe (589 units), Hyundai Sonata (520 units), Jac J7 (471 units) and Chery Tigo 7 Pro (436 units).
Based on the results of eight months in Тop-5 leads the Hyundai (31 381 units; + 76,4 %), on the second line with the result 28 768 cars sold – Chevrolet (+ 40,4 %), third position Kia - 16 384 car (+ 95,3 %). Dealers Chery have implemented 6 977 cars (+ 268,8 %). The top five best-selling brands is completed by Toyota - 5 698 units (-11,1%).
Anar MAKASHEVA, President of KAO: «In 2023, the market revived after the global crisis of recent years associated with a shortage of components and logistics problems. However, even in difficult times, the automotive industry in Kazakhstan maintained its position thanks to successful negotiations with suppliers of components for domestic enterprises, the development of alternative logistics routes, as well as thanks to the trust of brand holders, which made it possible to increase supplies to Kazakhstan and bring new brands to the market. This season, distributors are also preparing to present a number of new products to Kazakhstanis, enterprises have increased production volumes, with the growth of healthy competition, dealers are developing interesting offers in terms of financial programs, customer events and strive to provide the best conditions for service, so sales will continue to grow.»
