Domestic automakers, against the backdrop of continuous market growth, continue to increase vehicle production. The share of imported cars continues to fall, parity between imported and locally produced cars is just around the corner - the share of sales of the domestic auto industry has reached 47,04%. Sales of cars with the “Made in Kazakhstan” label have doubled. Along with sales, the contribution of the automobile industry to mechanical engineering is also growing. According to the results of January-June 2018, the share reached 18,8% the entire industry. According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), in the six months of 2018, Kazakhstan produced 14 660 vehicles of all types. The forces of six Kazakhstan sites released 13 725 passenger car (+ 76,4%), 486 trucks (-0,2%), 153 bus (-51,1%), 210 trailers and semi-trailers (+ 60,3%) и 86 units of other specialized equipment (+ 60,3%). The cost of automotive products released in June is estimated at 16 741 million tenge, what's on 10,4% less than the result of May 2018 (18 683 million tenge). The greatest growth in production is demonstrated by Kostanay "SaryarkaAvtoProm"+ 123,2 % to the results of last year, in six months it produced 5297 cars, trucks and buses.
