Official sales of new cars in October 2015

Official sales of new cars in October decreased by 9,2% and amounted to 7545 units. (versus 8316 units in September 2015, sales of the KAMAZ-Engineering group and Chinese automobile brands are not included).

In annual comparison, the decline is 49% against 14825 units. sales in October 2014. In total, since the beginning of the year, official dealers sold 84560 units. new cars, which is 37,72% less than the same result in 2014 (135783 units).

October was another difficult month for car dealers, due to events in the foreign exchange market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which as a result affected new price tags for cars. The October results turned out to be lower than the pessimistic forecast of ACAB. However, turning points sometimes lead to new opportunities, especially for customers. Thus, auto centers offer to purchase cars on even more favorable terms.

Renault car sales increased by 12,5% ​​compared to September sales (975 units versus 867 units). As we have already noted, Renault is one of the few that has demonstrated month-on-month sales growth since the beginning of the year, which is a significant success in the current realities. There was also a monthly increase in sales from Toyota, which launched a program to subsidize loans for the popular Camry and Corolla cars. Among budget cars, Daewoo (+26,3%) and Geely (+8,2%) showed positive results; the latter offers SC7 cars at a reduced price. Among SUVs, the updated Mitsubishi Outlander showed an increase in sales (+12,8%).

From January to October, 14947 units were sold. cars made in Kazakhstan. Of these, 1558 units. fall in October. As part of preferential car loans, the threshold cost of cars increased to 9 million tenge. According to the DBK, as of November 5, 4035 applications were agreed upon in the amount of 12 billion 605,7 million tenge, which is 84,04% of the initially issued amount.

In monetary terms, for the period since the beginning of the year, the sales market of new cars amounted to 1798,3 million USD compared to 3065,3 million USD in the same period last year. The average October offer price for cars and SUVs fell 18,2% to $14000 in October versus $17113 in September. The significant difference is due to the devaluation of the national currency.
