Official sales of new cars in October decreased by 9,2% and amounted to 7545 units. (against 8316 units in September 2015, sales of the KAMAZ-Engineering group and automobile brands of China are not included).
In the annual comparison, the decline is 49% against 14825 units. sales in October 2014. Since the beginning of the year, official dealers have sold 84560 units. new cars, which is 37,72% less than the same result in 2014 (135783 units).
October was another difficult month for car dealers, due to events in the foreign exchange market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which, as a result, was reflected in the new price tags of cars. October results turned out to be lower than the pessimistic forecast of AKAB. However, tipping points sometimes lead to new opportunities, primarily for clients. So auto centers offer to buy cars on even more favorable terms.
Sales of Renault cars increased by 12,5% compared to September sales (975 units vs. 867 units). As we have already noted, Renault is one of the few that has shown an increase in sales from month to month since the beginning of the year, which is an exemplary success in the current realities. Toyota also saw a month-over-month increase in sales, which launched a program to subsidize loans for popular Camry and Corolla cars. Among budget cars, Daewoo (+26,3%) and Geely (+8,2%) have positive results, the latter offering SC7 cars at a lower price. Among SUVs, the updated Mitsubishi Outlander (+12,8%) had an increase in sales.
From January to October, 14947 units were sold. cars of Kazakhstan production. Of these, 1558 units. are in October. As part of preferential car loans, the threshold cost of cars increased to 9 million tenge. According to the DBK, as of November 5, 4035 applications were approved in the amount of 12 billion 605,7 million tenge, which is 84,04% of the originally issued amount.
In monetary terms, since the beginning of the year, the market for sales of new cars amounted to USD 1798,3 million against USD 3065,3 million in APPG. The average October offer price for cars and SUVs fell by 18,2% to $14000 in October against $17113 in September. A significant difference is due to the devaluation of the national currency.
