According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (ACAB), sales of new cars in August 2021 compared to August last year showed a decrease (-5,4%) before 9 093 units (8 734 units passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and 359 units trucks and buses). In annual terms, the results remain with a “plus” sign - 76 039 units, which is 42,5%more than in January-August 2020, including 73 367 units passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and 2 672 units trucks and buses.
The situation for the delivery of cars and components is critical, while the demand for cars is growing. Dealers and manufacturers are still awaiting decisions on the delivery of components and vehicles coming through China. The queue for shipment of goods stretched for several months ahead. In addition, the shortage of electronic components on the world market is increasing the gap between supply and demand every month.
Continues to lead the top ten brands in August Chevrolet - 2 196 units, Hyundai on the second line with the result 1 561 units, returned to third position Toyota - 1 012 units
Dealers Kia sold in August 825 cars. The top five best-selling brands is completed by Lada - 716 units Volkswagen continues to secure sixth place (356 units), on the seventh – Nissan (331 units). Next on the list: JAC (328 units), Renault (308 units) and BMW (114 units).
TOP-10 the most popular models in August 2021: Cobalt Chevrolet – (1 330 units), Chevrolet Nexia – (542 units) and Hyundai accent - (499 units). Next on the list: Toyota Camry(437 units), Hyundai Elantra (326 units), Lada largus (282 units), Hyundai Sonata (255 units), Hyundai Tucson (243 units), Kia Rio (243 units), Toyota Rav4 (213 units).
