NEW CAR SALES RISE BY 9,1% IN JULY - AKAB

According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), July continues the trend set by June - new car sales continue to exceed the figure 11 thousands cars per month. Kazakh dealers sold 10 971 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 666 units of trucks and buses, for 9,1% more than in July 2021.

“The growth in sales of cars localized in Kazakhstan in the passenger segment is due to a timely response to global challenges on the one hand of the Kazakh business, on the other - the state.

 Against the backdrop of a shortage of Russian-made cars in the warehouses of suppliers and sellers, Kazakh manufacturers were able to quickly adapt and work as a priority to saturate the domestic market, satisfying the needs of Kazakh car enthusiasts.”, - comments Anar Makasheva, Vice President ACAB.

Dealers Chevrolet for the second month in a row they sell more 4 thousand cars (4004 units; + 29,4 % by July last year), Hyundai sold in July 2 607 cars (+ 29,6 %), Kia still strengthens its position in third place - 1 350 units (+ 11 %). results Toyota —903 cars sold (-24,7%). In fifth place Lada - 675 units (+ 30,3 %). Meanwhile Chery already in sixth position (378 units), Lexus in seventh place - 345 units (+ 475 %). Next on the list: JAC (253 units; + 25,9 %), exeed (162 units) and Renault (128 units; -55,1%).

TOP-10 the most popular models in July 2022: Chevrolet Cobalt – (2 796 units), Chevrolet Nexia (957 units), and Kia Sportage – (917 units). Next on the list: Hyundai Tucson (810 units), Toyota LC Prado (491 units), Hyundai Sonata (433 units), Hyundai St. Fe (414 units), Hyundai Crete (391 units), Hyundai Elantra (373 units), Lada Granta (276 units).

Based on the results of seven months, it is again in the lead Chevrolet (16 631 units; -6,8%), on the second line with the result 15 563 cars sold – Hyundai (+ 9,3 %), third position Kia - 6 906 cars (+ 30 %). Dealers Lada have implemented 5 739 cars (+ 39,3 %). The top five best-selling brands is completed by Toyota - 5 411 units (-34%).
