According to the Statistics Committee, for six months of this year, 8 units of equipment were produced in Kazakhstan (including cars, trucks and buses, excluding agricultural machinery, trailers and semi-trailers) with a total value of 637 billion tenge (according to the Statistics Committee) , which is 64,5 cars more than in the same period last year.
In June, car production reached 1 units, and in monetary terms, according to the Statistics Committee, 814 billion tenge, 21,1 times higher than last year’s figures.
In total, enterprises - members of the Association - produced products worth 40,8 billion tenge for the period from January to June.
A significant increase in product output was shown by the Kostanay enterprise - the SaryarkaAvtoProm automobile plant. The volume of car production at this production site in the second quarter of 2017 exceeded the volume of the first quarter by 3,8 times or 284%. In quantitative terms, the volume of car production in the first half of the year amounted to 2 units worth 373 billion tenge.
The trend of production growth in the second quarter of this year was observed in the market as a whole; the total production volume of all automobile enterprises in the second quarter of 2017 was 1,6 times higher than the same indicator for the first three months of this year. Thus, the volume of production at SaryarkaAvtoProm increased by 284%, Hyundai Trans Auto - by 88%, KAMAZ-Engineering - by 86%, Semaz - by 80%, AsiaAvto - by 16%.
According to AKAB, the largest production volume is in the passenger car segment 90,1% (including sedans, SUVs, as well as light commercial vehicles); in 2017, 7 units of this type rolled off the assembly lines of Kazakh automobile manufacturing enterprises. The share of trucks and buses of all types accounts for 779% of production, which corresponds to 9,93 units.
Let us recall that Kazakhstan produces commercial vehicles such as Lada Largus, Peugeot Partner, Jac J6 minivans, etc., Hyundai, Kamaz, Ural, Iveco, Shacman, etc. trucks. Also, 313 units were produced in the first half of this year. buses for various purposes from brands such as Iveco, Daewoo, etc. In addition, in 2017, the production of trailer trucks began - 6 trailers were made in 29 months.
Despite the continued negative dynamics of the Kazakhstan market in the first quarter of 2017, automakers managed to turn the tide in the segment of locally produced cars. In June, the share of sales of domestically produced cars increased by 35,3% compared to May and amounted to 46,8%.
Lada remained the sales leader in the domestic car segment, followed by KIA, Hyundai and Chevrolet. The increasingly popular JAC brand closes the top five most popular cars.
