Production of passenger cars in Kazakhstan increased by 83,4%

Domestic automakers, against the backdrop of a weak August, significantly increased production in September – 3 244 units of equipment for 1 025 more than in August. The cost of automotive products released in September is estimated at 23 195 million tenge, which is 66,2% more than the result of August 2018 (13 959 million tenge). This is one of the best indicators in 2018. The cumulative result of nine months exceeds the same result of last year by 39% (140 948 million против 101 389 million tenge).

According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), for nine months of 2018, Kazakhstan produced 22 709 vehicles of all types, which 71% more than in January-September 2017, when it was collected 13 312 units of equipment. The main increase was provided by passenger cars - this year it was produced
21 137 cars (+ 83%)802 lorry (-17%)388 trailers and semi-trailers (+ 131%)231 bus (-48%) and 151 unit of other specialized equipment (+ 0 %).

According to preliminary data in Kostanay "SaryarkaAvtoProm" the increase against the background of 2017 reaches 109%, here in nine months it was produced 7 941 unit of cars, trucks and buses. In Ust-Kamenogorsk at the enterprise "Asia Auto" Was collected 13 365 auto (+ 64 %). To Kokshetau "KAMAZ Engineering"produced 440 trucks, Semipalatinsk SemAZ produced 206 trucks, Almaty Hyundai Trans Auto produced 188 units of equipment on account Daewoo Bus — 106 buses.

“In general, compared to the volumes of a year ago, 2018 is proceeding in a positive way - the demand for domestically produced cars remains at a high level. The shares of imported and locally produced cars are close to parity - sales of the domestic auto industry remain at 47%. According to ACAB forecasts, by the end of the year the share of cars assembled in Kazakhstan will increase to 51%.”
