The development of electric transport in Kazakhstan is hampered by the lack of electric power stations

Official manufacturers and importers of cars in Kazakhstan supported the intention of the ROP Operator to create an infrastructure for charging electric vehicles.
Let us remind you that the ROP Operator is currently actively working on the creation of infrastructure for electric vehicles and the installation of a network of electric charging stations as part of a pilot project in the cities of Almaty and Astana.
Rustam Temirbek, Managing Director of ROP Operator
In Europe and other countries demonstrating the growth of electric vehicles, the process of forming the infrastructure, including the installation of a network of electric filling stations, was completed before the active growth in sales of electric vehicles. The world has accumulated quite a wealth of both positive and negative experience in the development of EPS. Now Kazakhstan has the opportunity to create an infrastructure of charging stations, avoiding the mistakes that other countries made and offering the most optimal solution.
The management of ACAB member companies understand that in order to develop a new direction in the structure of car sales, it is necessary to initially provide potential buyers with a sufficient number of gas stations and provide after-sales service for electric vehicles by official representatives of automakers. Accordingly, they support the initiative of the ROP Operator to implement the instructions of the head of state on the development of the production of electric vehicles, which includes the creation of infrastructure.
According to the leadership of AKAB, the initiative to create an EPS infrastructure is a relevant and timely solution, which is based on international experience in the development of electric transport. This measure will allow Kazakhstan to take a leading position in the EAEU markets in the supply of electric vehicles.
To date, about 200 electric vehicles are registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. These are mainly electric cars of the premium segment, imported by special order and cars from the secondary market, because In official dealerships, electric cars were not fully represented. And the serial production of electric cars in the Republic of Kazakhstan was announced only in September of this year.
Sergey Mogilatov, production director of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP.
“One of the tasks that we will be able to solve with the launch of production is to provide consumers with electric vehicles in the mass segment and at an affordable price category, which were not previously available on the market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
According to KazEnTU candidate of technical sciences Ruslan Utebaev, according to generally accepted practice, charging stations are built and developed as a condition for the development of electric transport. Without the presence of electric charging stations in the country, an increase in the number of electric vehicles is impossible - these are the laws of development of any industry - without comfortable operating conditions it is impossible to increase demand. This fact is confirmed by the words of the director of Autocentre-Bavaria, the Astana-Motors group Denis Rastorguev, who believes that the issue of developing infrastructure for electric vehicles is one of the most significant for potential buyers. And now in the Republic of Kazakhstan, work is underway not only on the development of infrastructure for electric transport, but also work to reduce its cost for the end consumer.
