The main sources of information are our own databases, data from the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as information obtained directly from market participant companies. The first chapter of the review contains information on investments in fixed assets in the production of motor vehicles from 2014 to 2018; production of motor vehicles in the structure of industrial production of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 2010; volume of industrial products in mechanical engineering by type of economic activity; dynamics of vehicle production volume by plant, brand and model, broken down into passenger cars, trucks and buses; dynamics of tax and other obligatory payments to the budget from manufacturers of cars and other motor vehicles since 2014.

 

The second chapter reveals the directions of state support for the automotive industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan; the topic of industrial assembly, free economic zones and free warehouses as a means of state regulation of the automotive industry in the country is covered; reflects the state of foreign and mutual trade in the EAEU; an analysis of the impact of the current legal regulation of the SES and member countries of the Customs Union on the production and sale of road transport was carried out; An assessment is made of the degree of localization of passenger car production achieved by individual manufacturers, taking into account the requirements for the level of localization provided for by the regulatory legal acts of the member states of the Customs Union.

 

The third chapter describes enterprises producing automotive components, their share in the industry, and the main types of component production in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

The fourth chapter presents data on the structure of production of automotive components.

 

Data on the import of auto components for industrial assembly and sale on the secondary market are contained in the fifth chapter. It also compares the level of imports and local production, reflects the main problems of the industry and trends in the automotive components sector.
