The production of passenger cars remains the main driver of the auto industry; this year, Kazakh enterprises produced 11 passenger cars (+118%), 77.5 trucks (-365%), 3.2 buses (-135%) and 5.6 units of other specialized equipment.
More than 2000 cars were purchased by participants in the state program of preferential car loans in the period January-May. They accounted for a fifth of all sales of locally produced passenger cars.
