Best selling cars in January 2019

In January 2019, the country's automobile market continued its strong growth - compared to the first month of 2018, sales increased by 36%. According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), official dealers sold 4251 cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 185 units of trucks and buses.

In the standings of brands, the arrangement is similar to what it was throughout last year, except that the Hyundai (796 units; + 236% by January 2018), in general, the demand for cars, especially on preferential loans, far exceeds supply. Toyota with the result (967 units; +45%) in second position. The top ten best-selling cars in January are headed by a Russian brand Lada 1015 cars (+ 29 %). Kia in fourth position - 337 units (+ 153 %). Volkswagen thanks to purchases for car sharing needs in fifth place (185 units; +219%). For dealers Renault managed to implement 150 auto (+ 400 %). Rounding out the TOP 10 are: Nissan (139 units; +31%), GAS (138 units; -11%), Lexus (120; +74%), And Chevrolet (72; +50%).

 

Best selling cars in January 2019 - AKAB

 

In the context of passenger models, last year's bestseller is in the lead. Toyota Camry 506 units, in second position Lada granta (405 units), closes the top three Hyundai Tucson (314 units). On the fourth line Lada Vesta 266 sedans and station wagons. Next on the list: Lada 4 × 4 (196 units), Hyundai Elantra (193 units), Toyota LC Prado (168 units), Volkswagen Polo (163 units), Hyundai accent (149 units), and Kia Rio — 140 auto.

Most new cars are traditionally purchased in Almaty (1229 units) and Astana (957 units). These cities account for 50% of all cars sold in Kazakhstan. In the top five Atyrau (333 units), Shymkent (263 units), Kostanay (244 units). The fewest new cars were sold in January in Taldykorgan (33 units) and Taraz. (38 units).

Toyota dealers remain the absolute champions in terms of revenue. According to ACAB estimates, the most productive in January were Toyota Center Astana (1,99 billion tenge), Toyota City Almaty (1,97 billion tenge) and Toyota City Astana (1,79 billion tenge).
