Average monthly nominal wages show an increase from 8,5% to 23,4% over the past 5 years. At the same time, the real wage index (by quarter) is also growing, although it is worth noting that with each quarter the percentage of growth is reduced due to the increase in the inflation rate. However, at the end of the year, the growth of the real wage index in the 4th quarter of 2022 was 2,8% compared to the 4th quarter of 2021. It is worth noting that sales of new cars in the Republic of Kazakhstan also increased by 5,3% compared from 2021, although growth has decreased significantly compared to previous years, which is also due to rising car prices.
