According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), new car sales increased by 5% compared to May of this year, Kazakh dealers sold 5314 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 249 units of trucks and buses. At the end of the first half of 2018, the market grew by 35,7% to 27 162 cars sold (20 units for January-June 015). |
Top ten best-selling passenger car brands in June for the second month in a row Toyota - 1 437 cars (+ 19,4 % to May), total for six months: 5 599auto (+ 41,4 % compared to the same period in 2017). Lada with the result 1 184 in second position (+ 15,5 %), however, first place this year – 5 879units (+ 72,8 %). Holds third position firmly Hyundai from Kostanay – 760(-12,7%) cars sold in June and 3 398 during the period January-June 2018 (+ 193,7 %). Despite modest results in June 34 units. — due to the lack of cars at dealers, based on the results of six months Ravon holds fourth position - 1 709cars sold (+ 32,2 %). To the seller Kia in June we managed to implement 242 car (+ 22,2 %); total 1269 (+ 8,4 %). On the fifth line Nissan - 227 (+ 36,7 %) and 919 (+ 37,6 %) auto respectively. Renault continues to recover its sales - 183 (+ 4,6%) in june and 712 this year (-42,2%). Seventh position in Kostanay JAC, in June dealers sold 147 crossovers (+ 15,7 %) and 673 cars based on the results of six months (+ 139,5 %). The TOP 10 best-selling ones are completed by: Lexus (129 units; -3,7%) and (593; +7,6%), Volkswagen (104 units; -9,6%) and (599; -0,7%), UAZ (101 units; +4,1%) and (579 units; -37,8%). Products lead the ranking of commercial equipment GAS, in the first half of the year it was sold 1 380 GAZelle and GAZon cars (+ 17,3 %). Trucks are in second place KAMAZ, including equipment produced in Kokshetau - 561 (+ 47,6 %). Rounding out the top three Hyundai Trucks with the result 110 cars (-2,7%). The TOP 10 also included trucks Shacman (61), buses Daewoo (59 units), Foton (54 units), Ural (49 units), Scania (48 units) commercial vehicles Mercedes-Benz (46 units) и Iveco (45 units). |
In terms of models, it continues to lead in June Toyota Camry. For the second month in a row, the new generation Camry remains the most desirable car on the Kazakh car market – 594 sedans sold. In the second position is budget Lada granta - 359auto. For the first time, the top three is closed Lada Vesta - 276 sedans and station wagons. The fourth place is taken Hyundai Tucson — a crossover produced at the SaryarkaAvtoProm site in Kostanay sold out in 251 automobile. June was the best for Toyota Land Cruiser Prado - 244 SUV. Lada 4 × 4 in sixth position - 224 car. Next on the list: Hyundai accent – (196 units.), Lada largus(191 units.), Hyundai Elantra (161 units.), Toyota Corolla (158 units.)
In the first half of the year, Kazakhstanis spent 232 billion tenge (700 million US dollars) for the purchase of new cars, trucks and buses. Revenue Toyota in the domestic market for six months amounted to 76,2 billion tenge. Sales turnover Hyundai reached 24,7 billion tenge. Lada, despite the larger number of cars sold, collects about 18,7 billion tenge. In fourth place Lexus with the result 15,7 billion tenge.
