In 2020, Automechanika Astana and Futuroad Expo Astana will expand the composition of participants and experts: preparations have already begun

In March 2019, two major exhibitions were successfully held in Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan) - the international exhibition of spare parts, auto components, equipment and goods for vehicle maintenance Automechanika Astana and the international exhibition of commercial vehicles Futuroad Exhibition Astana.

Major international exhibition projects brought together 129 companies from 16 countries on a total area of ​​over 6 square meters. The synergy of exhibition projects made it possible to attract more than 250 new companies to the Kazakh market, presenting their products and services for the first time. The national exposition of China brought together 50 companies presenting a wide range of spare parts and equipment for vehicle maintenance. During the exhibition, a series of business meetings were held with Chinese companies producing spare parts; about 70 meetings took place in just two days.

Over the course of three days, the exhibition was visited by over 1800 visitors, 90% of whom were industry experts and potential buyers. As part of the Automechanika Astana exposition, the largest players in the auto components market demonstrated their new products: Autobox24, SVS-Trans, Karcher, RS 200 Motor Oil, Bagashar Meken, Bonencamp, Sobek-Service, Truckmotors, Phillips Fortech Poland and others. As part of the Futuroad Expo Astana exposition - a specialized exhibition of commercial vehicles and road construction equipment - Saryarkaavtoprom, the general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Kazakhstan Autokapital Ltd, Hyundai Com Trans Kazakhstan, Volvo Group Kazakhstan and others presented their samples of equipment.

The grand opening ceremony of Automechanika Astana and Futuroad Expo Astana was attended by honored guests: Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amaniyaz Erzhanov, Vice-President of the Association of Automotive Business of Kazakhstan Anar Makasheva, Vice-President of Transport and Logistics of Messe Frankfurt Michael Johannes, as well as presidents and general directors of the largest automobile companies doing business in Kazakhstan.

The business program of both exhibitions – Automechanika Astana and Futuroad Expo Astana – was also eventful. The Kazakhstan International Automotive Forum KIAF was successfully held with the support of the Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business, bringing together more than 150 delegates and speakers over 2 days. A special guest of the business program, the creator of unforgettable concept cars, founder and head of the legendary company Rinspeed, Frank Rinderknecht, gave a report on the future of the automotive industry and autonomous driving.

 As part of Garage Online Academy, a demo zone for the future project “Automotive Service 2020” was organized for the first time.

Inspired by the success of both exhibitions, the project team has already begun preparing Automechanika Astana 2020 and Futuroad Expo Astana next year. Next year the number of national pavilions will increase - the German national pavilion will be added, and the Chinese national pavilion will increase. The number of applications for participation from companies from around the world that consider Kazakhstan an attractive region for developing their business is already growing; the geography of participants will expand next year.

The exposition of both exhibitions will increase, new thematic sections will appear: “Alternative drive systems and fuels”, which will present energy storage technologies, alternative fuels, complementary products, automotive concepts, resources, technologies and energy charging and storage systems, and the section “Mobility” as a service and unmanned control”, where mobile services, unmanned transport, solutions for organizing management/leasing/corporate mobility of vehicle fleets and much more will be presented.

The business program of the exhibitions will be complemented by master classes from leading companies and various demo zones. Industry experts from all over the world will come to the exhibition in Kazakhstan to share their experience and practical advice on the most pressing issues in the automotive industry.

This year, the exhibitions received the support of the Union of Motor Transport Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KAO), which will help ensure broad participation of managers and specialists of Kazakhstan’s motor transport industry enterprises in the events of the Automechanika Astana and Futuroad Expo Astana business program. Traditionally, the exhibition is supported by the Association of Kazakhstan Automotive Business (AKAB), whose experts will take an active part in plenary sessions and conferences.

Exhibitions in 2020 Automechanika Astana и Futuroad Exhibition Astana will be held from April 15 to 17 at the Korme exhibition center.The organizer is Business Media Central Asia with the support of Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
