According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), produced in August 2018 2 219 vehicles of all types costing 13 million tengeOn 14,2% less than in July. This is the most modest result over the past five months. Domestic automakers have slowed down production amid currency fluctuations. However, over the eight months of this year, Kazakhstan produced 19 465 units of equipment (including cars, trucks, buses, special equipment, trailers and semi-trailers) with a total cost 117 billion tenge. Issue volumes exceed the results of January-August 2017 by 64,5%. During the reporting period in Kazakhstan, six production sites produced 18 cars (+206%), 75,8 trucks (-689%), 6 buses (-200%), 53,6 units of other specialized equipment (-107. 18,3%) and 263 trailers/semi-trailers (+45,3%). In January-August 2018 on site "Asia Auto" in Ust-Kamenogorsk, according to preliminary data, it was collected 11 540 cars, in Kostanay "SaryarkaAvtoProm" produced 6 830 units of equipment. To Kokshetau KAMAZ Engineering produced 340 trucks, Almaty Hyundai Trans Auto shipped 151 units of equipment. Semipalatinsk enterprises SemAZ и Daewoo Bus fired 186 и 82 units respectively. Sales of domestically produced cars at the end of eight months of 2018 reached 18 001 units, which is 58,9% higher than last year’s results (11 units). The market share of “Made in Kazakhstan” cars increased from 330% to 37,2% this year. The TOP 47,5 most popular locally produced cars based on the results of the reporting period are headed by the following brands: Lada (8), Hyundai (104), Kia (4), JAC (637) and Chevrolet (1). In 2018 year 2 624 cars were issued on credit under a preferential state program. In total, as of August 29, 2018, DBK approved 11 applications from second-tier banks for lending to domestically assembled cars for a total amount of 260 million tenge. Of these, 45 second-tier banks issued 721 loans for the purchase of vehicles from domestic automakers for a total amount of 6 million tenge. Most often, Kazakhstanis take out a loan for a period from 10 years to 914 years inclusive (44%), over 316,4 years only 3%, up to three years inclusive - 5%. |
