In October, Kazakhstanis registered almost 100 thousand cars with the traffic police

According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from January to October of this year, 849 units of equipment were registered with the administrative police in Kazakhstan, which is 046% more than in the same period last year. Of these, 18 units. had to register equipment that has changed owners - that is, secondary registration. The number of initially registered cars amounted to 793 units, which is 444% more than last year.
At the end of October, the number of cars registered reached 99 units, exceeding last year's result by 290%. Of these, 17 units. made up repeated registrations of vehicles, including, for the most part, resale of used cars, as well as installation of gas equipment, replacement of documents and other actions of citizens with cars.

The leader in the number of registrations remains the Almaty region - 120 cars were registered here from January to October, of which 787 cars were registered in October.

The second place in terms of the number of registrations is in the South Kazakhstan region; in 2017, 111 cars were registered here with the traffic police.

 

The fewest cars were registered in West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions - 24 units and 328 units, respectively.

66,94% of the total volume of cars re-registered for the period from January to October of the current year were vehicles over 10 years old, while from month to month this figure remains at a level of at least 65%, and in October compared to September grew by almost 1%.

5,26% of the volume are cars up to 3 years old, while at the beginning of the year the share of secondary registrations of new cars was more than 7%, but in recent months it has decreased in total volume to 2,5%

The largest share of primary vehicle registrations is occupied by cars manufactured in 2015-2017 – this is 87,5% based on the results of 10 months. However, cars older than 3 years also enter the Kazakhstan market. Thus, for the period January-October 2017, sales and imports of cars from 3 to 10 years old amounted to 6,7% of the total number of initial registrations, and vehicles over 10 years old – 5,8%.

In October of this year, 20% more vehicles were registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the first time compared to October 2016, when initial registrations amounted to 5 vehicles. Moreover, if in 398 the average monthly growth rate of primary sales and imports was 2016%, then in 0,4 it was 2017%, which indicates a gradual recovery of the automobile market this year.

According to AKAB, in total, according to the results of 9 months of 2017, official dealers sold 33 new cars for a total amount of 958 billion tenge, excluding exports. The export volume amounted to 292 cars worth 1 billion tenge, which is almost 384 times more than the same period last year.

Registrations cover all transactions on the market, including primary official sales, primary sales by gray dealers, sales on the used car market. As well as the import of cars from the countries of the Customs Union and from third countries, both by individuals and gray dealers, temporary import from other countries, inheritance, acceptance under a gift agreement, lease, making changes to the registration certificate - installation of gas equipment, etc. changes in the technical characteristics of the car, replacement of SRTS and GRNZ in connection with the movement of the car to another area, due to loss.

Vehicle registrations include the following types of vehicles: passenger cars (including light commercial vehicles weighing up to 3,5 tons), minibuses, buses (with more than 16 seats, not including the driver's seat), trucks (weighing over 3,5 tons ), trailers and semi-trailers.
