However, December of last year turned out to be the leader in the number of initial car registrations. This month, for the first time, 8 units of vehicles were registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including cars of all types, motor vehicles and trailers, which is 280% more than in December 24, when initial registrations amounted to 2016 vehicles. And compared to January 6, the level of initial registrations increased by more than 662 times. Moreover, if in 2017 the average monthly growth rate of primary sales and imports was 2,2%, then in 2016 it was 2,5%, which indicates a steady recovery of the automobile market in the past year.
At the end of 2017, the leader in the number of registrations was Almaty region, where 148 vehicles were registered. In December, this area also remained in first place with a total of 786 registrations. The most active regions in the region based on the results of the past year are the cities of Taldykorgan, Kaskelen and Talgar - 13 cars, 192 cars and 13 cars were registered here, respectively.
The South Kazakhstan region is in second place in terms of the total number of registrations. Over the past year, 138 vehicles were registered here, while at the end of December the region also ranks second, with 690 units of equipment registered here over the past month. At the same time, the most active region in the region is the Abay district, where 12 vehicles have been registered since the beginning of the year.
For the first winter month, the third and fourth places in the regional rankings are occupied by the cities of republican significance Almaty and Astana, respectively. Among vehicles re-registered, registrations of cars produced before 2007 account for more than 71% for the period since the beginning of this year, while 3-year-old cars are re-registered from 2,7% to 8,0% of motorists.
For primary registrations, the picture is the opposite - in 2017, 87,62% of cars produced in 2015-2017 were registered for the first time, between 3 and 10 years old - 6,17%, over 10 years old - 6,21%. According to AKAB, the quantitative volume of cars sold domestically through official dealerships in January-November 2017 exceeded last year’s figures by 6,27% and amounted to 44 units, which is close to AKAB’s forecast data of 047 units. for the entire 50.
