| Kazakhstanis spent 499,8 billion tenge on purchasing new cars |
| According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), in the nine months of this year official dealers sold 51 871 new passenger and commercial vehicles worth 499,8 billion tenge, on 19% more than in the same period last year. |
| Among the top selling brands in September again Hyundai, dealers sold 1 345 cars produced in Kostanay "SaryarkaAvtoProm", for a total of nine months – 10 008 auto (+ 76 % to last year's results). Toyota on the second line in September – it was sold 1 204 car and 10 524 units (+ 15 %) this year. Dealers Lada implemented - 957 units in September and 11 092 units (+ 15 %) in nine months. Ravon sales, which started in the second quarter with the start of production in Kostanay, are growing at a high rate; in September it was sold 559 cars. By the end of the year, the brand will squeeze out competitors and take fourth position. |
Sales of cars localized in Kazakhstan are growing much faster than the market. Eight of the ten best-selling cars are produced in Kazakhstan. In 2019, the monthly share of domestic cars did not fall below 50%. Demand for “Made in Kazakhstan” equipment has increased from 49% in 2018 to 58% in the current year.

| The automotive industry in the mechanical engineering industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan still occupies one of the most important and promising areas. For nine months of 2019, Kazakhstan produced 33 500 vehicles of all types on 47,5% more than in January-September 2018. The total result of nine months in monetary terms exceeds the same result of last year by 62,5% (228 979 million tenge). The main volume continues to be provided by passenger cars - 29 846 units (+ 41,2 %). Production volumes of commercial vehicles have increased significantly: cargo vehicles have increased two and a half times - 2 133 units (+ 166 %), bus production increased three and a half times 848 units (+ 267 %). It was also released 613 trailers and semi-trailers (+ 58 %) and 60 units of other specialized equipment. |

| Automotive retail in the country is recovering, showing positive dynamics. The share of locally produced cars will only continue to increase. In 2019, about 4 thousand cars are produced monthly in Kazakhstan, the average monthly increase is 7%. If current economic indicators remain the same, AKAB predicts that the market will cross the 70 thousand mark, of which slightly more than 40 thousand units of passenger and commercial vehicles will be domestically produced. |
