More than 700 cars are registered on the secondary market of Kazakhstan

According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from January to September of this year, 749 units of equipment were registered with the administrative police in Kazakhstan, which is 756% more than in the same period last year. Of these, 18 units. had to register equipment that has changed owners - that is, secondary registration. The number of initially registered cars amounted to 700 units, which is 618% more than last year.

At the end of September, the number of cars registered reached 94 units, exceeding last year's result by 991%. Of these, 22 units. compiled registrations on the domestic market.

If in the same period last year the growth rate of vehicle registrations - September to August - was 3%, then in the current period it did not change and remained at 0%. The average growth rate in 2016 was 5,9%, in 2017 4,1%. However, if last year the growth rate of registrations ranged from -12% to 25%, then in 2017 it stabilized and did not fall below -0,8%.

The leader in the number of registrations remains the Almaty region - 106 cars were registered here from January to September, of which 414 cars were registered in September.

The second place in terms of the number of registrations is in the South Kazakhstan region; in 2017, 97 cars were registered here with the traffic police.

The fewest cars were registered in West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions - 21 units and 619 units, respectively.

67% of the total volume of vehicles re-registered during the period from January to September of this year were vehicles over 10 years old. 5,6% - cars up to 3 years old.

The largest share of primary vehicle registrations is occupied by cars manufactured in 2015-2017 – this is 87% based on the results of 9 months. However, cars older than 3 years also enter the Kazakhstan market. Thus, for the period January-September 2017, sales and imports of cars from 3 to 10 years old amounted to 6% of the total number of initial registrations, and vehicles over 10 years old – 7%.

According to AKAB, in total, according to the results of 8 months of 2017, official dealers sold 30 units. new cars totaling 505 billion tenge, including exports. Of these, sales in the domestic market of Kazakhstan amounted to 256,6 units of all types of equipment, and 29 vehicles for various purposes were exported.

Registrations cover all transactions on the market, including primary official sales, primary sales by gray dealers, sales on the used car market. As well as the import of cars from the countries of the Customs Union and from third countries, both by individuals and gray dealers, temporary import from other countries, inheritance, acceptance under a gift or lease agreement. making changes to the technical passport - installation of gas equipment, other changes in the technical characteristics of the car, replacement of SRTS and GRNZ in connection with the movement of the car to another area, due to loss.

Vehicle registrations include the following types of vehicles: passenger cars (including light commercial vehicles weighing up to 3,5 tons), minibuses, buses (with more than 16 seats, not including the driver's seat), trucks (weighing over 3,5 tons ), trailers and semi-trailers.
