According to the head of the region, Akim of Aktobe region Berdybek Saparbayev, this is another step towards improving the living standards of Aktobe residents.

“In order to provide uninterrupted, high-quality transportation for our residents, we need to have at least 430 new buses. We have them on paper, but you can see for yourself in what condition they are. Carriers complained all the time, so let's raise the tariff! I ask them a question: how will we raise the tariff, what will I tell the population, have we created conditions for the population? Most importantly, we must ensure safety and comfort for people. And a start has been made. We will continue to work in this direction" - noted Berdybek Saparbayev.

Currently, the critically worn-out bus fleet throughout the republic is about 6,5 thousand units with a service life of over 12 years. Based on the experience of implementing this project in Aktobe, the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with DBK-Leasing JSC, has developed a program to renew the bus fleet with domestic buses, which is supported by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“The implementation of the project to update the bus fleet of the city of Aktobe within the framework of the State Infrastructure Development Program “Nurly Zhol” for 2015-2019 will improve the level of quality of service to the population in the network of intracity passenger transportation, as well as update the existing fleet for transporting students in educational institutions of Aktobe. The implementation of the program will make it possible to provide preferential renewable financing at affordable rates of 7% for the lessee, to update about 1 units. buses for the period of implementation of the Program (200 years), provide employment in domestic machine-building enterprises for the production of buses"
 - said the chairman of the board DBK-Leasing JSC Nurlan Baybazarov.

The purchase of buses became possible thanks to the implementation of the financial leasing program from DBK-Leasing JSC. It is worth noting that Aktobe became the first city in Kazakhstan to take advantage of the terms of the new program to update the public transport fleet.

“In fact, the program for the development of bus transportation opens up great opportunities for carriers: with the help of good conditions, they can update their fleets, and in return they will receive comfortable new transport with subsequent warranty service from the manufacturer.” - noted the director SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP Syrym Semeybaev.
