According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), the market for new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in the country grew by Present in several = 38,3% to 25 772 of cars sold, at the same time, the growth rate of the SUV segment is slowing down and becoming comparable to the overall market dynamics.

The leader in crossover and SUV sales this year is Toyota. Moreover, this is the only brand in the ranking whose cars are imported into our country from foreign countries. The model range is represented by: Japanese Land Cruiser Prado, Land Cruiser 200, American Highlander, Russian RAV4, and the latest CH-R from Turkey. In January-June it was sold in the country 2221 SUV segment car of this Japanese brand (+ 19,7 % to the indicators of the first six months of 2017).
The Russian brand moved to second place Lada с 1931 units of Lada 4×4 and Xray cars sold during the reporting period (+ 26%). Based on the results of the first half of the year, Almaty remains the leader in Kazakhstan in terms of the number of new SUV cars sold. The second place is occupied by the capital Astana, Kostanay closes the top three cities with the largest number of buyers of crossovers and SUVs. In general, according to ACAB analysts, sales statistics by city are as follows: Almaty (2704), Astana (2324), Kostanay (845), Karaganda (809), Atyrau (705), Shymkent (568), Uralsk (515), Ust-Kamenogorsk (513), Pavlodar (414) и Aktobe (405).
