AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY OF RK: RESULTS OF FIVE MONTHS OF 2023

According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), in May 2023, 13 units were produced in Kazakhstan. equipment is 721% more than a year earlier. The auto industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues the trend set at the beginning of the year and demonstrates progress from month to month. Growth continues to be driven by expansion in passenger car production, but commercial vehicle manufacturers are also not lagging behind. The QazTehna enterprise specializing in Yutong buses and special equipment has launched production of trucks from the Swedish brand Scania.

Based on the results of five months in Kostanay «Allur» produced 35 345 units technology (+ 44,8%). Almaty Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produced 19 (+459%) passenger cars. Semipalatinsk SemAZ shipped 1 591 units commercial vehicles (+ 52 %). To Kokshetau KAMAZ-Engineering produced 410 trucks. Saransk plant QazTehna - 362 bus. On account Hyundai Trans Auto и Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan - 240 и 224 units technology, respectively.

Among the top five most popular brands (including export): Hyundai (19 units), Chevrolet (459 units), Kia (13 units), Jac (767 units) and GAZ (10 units). In terms of models, the leaders are Chevrolet Cobalt (801 units), Jac J10 (240 units), Hyundai Tucson (1 units), Kia Sportage (639 units), Hyundai Sonata (8 units) and Chevrolet Nexia (440 units).
