At the end of the first half of the year, 563 vehicles were registered in Kazakhstan

• In June, 107 vehicles were registered
• Almaty region leads in the number of registrations

According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), in June 2018, the administrative police registered 107 954 cars that are on 12,5%more than in May. In total, based on the results of six months of 2018, the republic registered 563 416 vehicles of all types (all transactions on the secondary market, including re-registration of vehicles), on 19,2% more than in 2017.

June 2018 is a landmark month, in addition to the fact that it set a record for the number of registrations over the past four years, at the end of June the densely populated South Kazakhstan region was abolished. The Turkestan region with its center in Turkestan and the city of republican significance Shymkent, which has its own region on license plates, appeared on the map of Kazakhstan.

The share of initial registration against the total number of registrations in June increased to 7,8% — for the first time registered in Kazakhstan 8 406 Vehicle. Secondary registration accounts for the rest 99 548 auto, this 92,2% of the total number of registrations. Almost two thirds of the total number of registrations are cars over 10 years old (70 606 units). The largest share of registrations for equipment over 20 years old is 40 571 auto. From 10 to 20 years – 29 937 units. Equipment aged from 3 to 10 years accounts for 25 672 car, up to 3 years – 11 676 auto.

Based on the results of the first half of the year, the leader in terms of regions becomes Alma-Ata's region, here in January-June it was registered 82 592 Vehicle. In second place is the abolished South Kazakhstan region - 79 378 registered cars. Third and fourth positions in the ranking of regions behind cities of republican significance Almaty (71 272 units) and Astana (48 076 units). Rounding out the top five Karaganda region - 39 116 auto.
