| According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), sales of new cars in August showed a slight seasonal decline, but nevertheless increased compared to last year by 16%. In Kazakhstan, dealers sold 5 781 passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as 607 units of trucks, special equipment and buses. Sales since the beginning of the year have increased to 45 530 units, which is 20% more than the same period last year. The TOP 10 best-selling new passenger cars have shuffled again. In August, with a slight advantage, the list of leaders is headed by Lada - 1 377 cars (-3% to the previous month). Second place for Hyundai (1 269 units; -8%). Third position Toyota - 1 254 auto (-12%). Cars Ravon Kostanay production continues to strengthen in fourth place (323 units; -1%). Three brands at once Renault (238 units; -2%), Nissan (191 units; -1%) and Volkswagen (176 units; + 87 %) pushed aside Kia — 162 cars sold (-34%). The top ten is completed by premium cars Lexus, of which the same number were sold as last month (139 units) and cars Skoda (93 units; -45%). |
In the model standings, the championship continues to be held by Toyota Camry 70 - Sales 578 sedans. Second place Lada granta - 453 auto. On the third place Lada Vesta - 381 units, Hyundai Tucson, continues to be the most popular crossover – 373 sold cars. Next on the list: Ravon nexia r3 (317 units), Hyundai creta (299 units), Hyundai Elantra (264 units), Lada 4 × 4 (252 units), Hyundai accent (243 units) and Lada largus (211 units). Nine of the ten best-selling cars are made in Kazakhstan.
