According to Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), in January 2019 the administrative police authorities registered 97 815 cars that are on 21,8% more than in January last year. For cars up to 3 years - 8 258 units It is especially worth noting the new vehicle registration certificates (technical passport), which were introduced in 2019. In addition to their compact size, the updated SRTS are equipped with electronic chips that contain all the vehicle’s registration data. In addition, from now on only the main basic colors are entered into the database, whereas previously the color dictionary included 1 700names of shades, now there are only 13. Three colors are the main ones on the market to this day. The majority of transactions are for white cars (27,4%), grey/silver in second position (25,8%), black cars – 13,3% all registrations. At the end of January, the top three in terms of the number of registrations remains as before: Toyota, Lada (VAZ), Volkswagen. Individuals account for 96,3% secondary registrations, others 3,6% – legal entities. According to the results of the first month, the Almaty region becomes the leader in terms of regions, here in January it was registered 14 units Vehicle. In second place is Almaty - 12 366 registered cars. The third and fourth positions in the ranking of regions are for the Turkestan region (9 524 units) and Astana (8 114 units).
